Bengaluru, India – December 17, 2025 – Renowned actor Upendra, despite the ongoing success of “Andhra King Taluka” and anticipation for his upcoming film “45” alongside Shivarajkumar and Raj B Shetty, remains deeply appreciative of his experience working on the film “Coolie” with superstar Rajinikanth.
In an interview with The Hindu at his Banashanakari office, Upendra, who played a labour union leader in “Coolie,” expressed his admiration for Rajinikanth. “I never thought I would share the screen with Thalaiva,” Upendra said, describing the experience as a “godsend.” He emphasized Rajinikanth’s humility and how he treated him as a friend rather than just a co-star.
