BILOXI, MS – A 33-year-old woman from Texas, Camille Benson, is in custody after being arrested and charged with attempted mayhem in connection with multiple reports of razor blades found inside loaves of bread purchased at two Walmart stores in Biloxi, Mississippi.
The Biloxi Police Department confirmed Benson’s arrest on Tuesday following an investigation into a series of incidents that began on December 5th. Customers at a Walmart Supercenter reported finding a razor blade in their bread. Similar reports followed at a nearby Walmart Neighborhood Market on December 8th, and again at the Supercenter on December 14th and 15th. The series of incidents prompted Walmart employees to inspect their products, discovering multiple tampered loaves.
“The health and safety of our customers is always a top priority,” a Walmart spokesperson told Fox News Digital. “We have removed and thoroughly inspected all potentially affected products at impacted stores in Biloxi. We appreciate law enforcement for their swift action and will continue cooperating with them as they investigate.”
Benson is currently being held on a $100,000 bond. Police officials have stated that they believe this is an isolated incident, and do not believe other stores have been targeted.
