LOS ANGELES, CA – Rachael Carpani, the Australian actress best known for her roles in the popular television series “McLeod’s Daughters” and “NCIS: Los Angeles,” has passed away at the age of 45. The actress died peacefully on Sunday, December 7th, following a long battle with a chronic illness, according to a statement released by her parents, Tony and Gael Carpani, on Monday via Instagram.
“It is with great sadness that Tony and Gael Carpani announce that their beautiful daughter, beloved Australian actress Rachael Carpani, unexpectedly but peacefully passed away after a long battle with chronic illness, in the early hours of Sunday 7th December,” the statement read.
Carpani gained international recognition for her portrayal of Jodi Fountain in “McLeod’s Daughters” and also appeared in “The Rachels” and the 2020 Ben Affleck film, “The Way Back.”
