Wed Dec 17 14:17:16 UTC 2025: ## News Article: Bangalore Metro Improves Commuter Convenience with Relocated Bus Stops

Bengaluru, December 17, 2025 – Following numerous complaints from commuters regarding the distance between bus stops and metro stations on the recently launched Yellow Line, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (BMRCL) has announced the relocation and addition of several bus stops closer to metro stations.

The move, a collaborative effort between BMRCL and the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), aims to improve commuter convenience and streamline transfers between bus and metro services. The Yellow Line, which began operations on August 11, 2025, connecting Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road and Delta Electronics Bommasandra, has seen significant ridership but was hampered by accessibility issues at several stations.

“Following joint inspections by BMRCL and BMTC, bus stops have been relocated or newly provided to ensure smoother interchange between buses and metro services,” stated a BMRCL official.

New BMTC bus stops have been established near the Biocon Hebbagodi, Beratena Agrahara, Singasandra, Hongasandra, Central Silk Board, and R.V. Road metro stations. Additionally, existing bus stops at Electronics City, Hosa Road, and Ragigudda have been moved closer to their corresponding metro stations.

According to officials, bus stops are already conveniently located within 100 meters of the metro stations at Jayadeva, BTM Layout, Bommanahalli, Kudlu Gate, and Infosys Foundation Konappana Agrahara.

However, BMRCL confirmed that the relocation of bus stops at Huskur Road and Delta Electronics Bommasandra was not possible due to spatial limitations.

The move is expected to significantly enhance the overall commuting experience for Bangalore residents utilizing the Yellow Line and encourage greater use of public transport.
