Erode, Tamil Nadu – December 16, 2025 – The Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) is pulling out all the stops for its party chief Vijay’s campaign meeting scheduled for December 18th in Vijayamangalam, Erode district. K.A. Sengottaiyan, TVK’s administrative committee chief coordinator, announced today that security measures exceeding police requirements are being implemented to ensure a safe and well-managed event.
The venue, located near the Salem-Kochi National Highway, will feature 40 CCTV cameras and a communication network utilizing 40 walkie-talkies. A substantial medical presence, including 24 ambulances, 72 doctors, and 120 nurses, will be deployed on-site. Additionally, ample provisions for attendees include 20 drinking water tanks, numerous toilet facilities across 20 locations, and three fire service vehicles.
Dedicated parking areas, including a 20-acre section for two-wheelers, have been designated. While police have committed 1,500 personnel for security, the meeting is expected to draw a large crowd, estimated at 10,000 party cadres and 25,000 members of the public. Entry will be free, without the need for passes or QR codes.
Authorities will determine the entry timing for attendees on the day of the event. The TVK has also arranged 14 exit routes to facilitate a smooth dispersal after the meeting’s conclusion.
