Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s Fiery Fifty Highlights India U-19s’ Asia Cup Clash Against Malaysia
Dubai, December 16, 2025 – India’s Under-19 cricket team faced Malaysia in their final group stage match of the ACC Under-19 Asia Cup 2025 at The Sevens in Dubai. Malaysia won the toss and opted to bowl first, putting the spotlight on Indian batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi.
Suryavanshi, the 14-year-old prodigy, lived up to the expectations, smashing a quickfire half-century. He started his innings with a boundary and accelerated with a six, reaching his fifty in just 25 balls, decorated with 5 fours and 3 sixes. Unfortunately, he was dismissed on the very next ball by Muhammad Akram.
While Suryavanshi’s innings was a highlight, captain Ayush Mhatre (14) and vice-captain Vihan Malhotra (7) failed to impress. Mhatre’s struggles continue after low scores against UAE and Pakistan.
