Emily Cooper Takes on Rome in “Emily in Paris” Season 5, Premiering This Month!

PARIS, FRANCE – Get ready for a whirlwind of romance, fashion, and cultural escapades! Your favorite American expat, Emily Cooper, is shaking things up as “Emily in Paris” returns for its fifth season on Netflix this month. This time, Emily is swapping her Parisian apartment for a new challenge: running Agence Grateau’s satellite office in Rome.

Creator Darren Star teases a season split between two iconic cities. “This season is a tale of two cities. Rome and Paris,” Star told Netflix’s Tudum in August. “Straddling both, Emily takes love and life to the next level.”

All 10 episodes of Season 5 are set to drop on Thursday, December 18th, at 3 a.m. ET on Netflix.

Expect stunning visuals as Emily navigates the bustling streets of Rome and returns to familiar Parisian haunts. Filming locations include iconic landmarks such as the Place de l’Estrapade, Sacré-Cœur, the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, and more. Expect filming in Paris, The Alps, Rome and Venice.

Adding to the excitement, Ashley Park, known for her impressive Broadway career including “Mamma Mia!” and “Mean Girls” continues to showcase her musical talent this season, demonstrating her skills as a Grammy and Tony-nominated actress.

While Netflix has not yet officially confirmed a Season 6, rumors are circulating that the series may be returning in 2026.
