Fog Disrupts Flights in Northern India, Causing Cancellations in Hyderabad
Hyderabad, December 15, 2025 – Dense fog blanketing Delhi and other parts of northern India has led to significant flight delays and cancellations, impacting air travel as far south as Hyderabad. The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad reported four flight cancellations this morning due to the weather-related disruptions in the north.
The cancelled flights include IndiGo departures 6E 6907 from Hyderabad to Kolkata and 6E 6593 from Hyderabad to Ahmedabad, as well as inbound flights 6E 6528 from Kolkata to Hyderabad and 6E 6594 from Ahmedabad to Hyderabad.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation had issued an impact alert earlier today, cautioning passengers about low visibility conditions at Delhi and other northern airports. In a statement posted on X, the Ministry advised travelers to check with their airlines for the latest flight status and allow extra travel time. The Ministry also emphasized that safety is their top priority and that teams and Air Traffic Control are working to minimize disruptions.
