Sun Dec 14 04:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Thunder Strike Fear: Oklahoma City’s Historic Start Hints at Even More Potential

Oklahoma City, OK – The Oklahoma City Thunder have stormed out of the gates this NBA season, boasting an astounding 24-1 record, one of the best starts the league has ever seen. The team’s dominant performance has fueled speculation about a potential challenge to the all-time NBA record for wins in a season.

Despite the Thunder’s seemingly flawless performance, head coach Mark Daigneault believes there is still room for growth. While the team is nearly at full strength after navigating an early-season injury bug, the return of key player Jalen Williams, the team’s second leading scorer, could unlock another level of performance.

Williams, who missed over a month of action, has played in six games since his return, all of which have been Thunder victories. He’s averaging 17.3 points, 6.2 assists, and 5.2 rebounds, showcasing his immediate impact. However, Daigneault believes Williams is still finding his rhythm.

“I don’t think he is at full capacity yet,” Daigneault said. “I think he has room to go in terms of finding his rhythm and working himself back in. However, he is at full capacity as a competitor and as a team guy. That’s what’s been impressive.”

Daigneault also praised Williams for seamlessly integrating back into the team, enhancing the performance of his teammates.

The Thunder weathered Williams’ absence effectively, but the coaching staff is now focused on developing chemistry within the fully healthy lineup, especially the starting five, who have not all played together at the same time this season. The core roster remains largely the same as last season, however the coaches and players know there is still a lot that this team has to learn about each other. As Williams continues to find his form, Oklahoma City anticipates unlocking even more potential.

Once Williams is back to full strength, the Thunder could prove to be nearly unstoppable.
