Cincinnati, OH – Cincinnati Bengals tight end Mike Gesicki finally found the end zone this season, hauling in a 12-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Joe Burrow during Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills. The score put the Bengals ahead 28-18, and Gesicki, in celebration, launched into what can only be described as an…unorthodox rendition of the popular “Griddy” dance.
The, shall we say, unique performance was quickly noted on social media, and even the FOX broadcast couldn’t resist poking fun, leading into a commercial break with the iconic Genesis track “I Can’t Dance.”
While Gesicki’s touchdown provided a momentary highlight for the Bengals, the celebration was short-lived. The Bills responded with a vengeance, scoring two consecutive touchdowns to take the lead and ultimately secure a 39-34 victory. Despite the promising start, the Bengals were unable to contain Buffalo’s offense and allowed the Bills to rally for the win, leaving Gesicki’s memorable touchdown and even more memorable dance a footnote in a disappointing loss.
