Sun Dec 14 08:00:00 UTC 2025: ## 21 Savage Advised Drake to Avoid Lamar Feud, Believes Drake Survived Relatively Unscathed

Atlanta – Rapper 21 Savage revealed that he advised Drake against engaging in the recent high-profile feud with Kendrick Lamar, believing it was a battle he couldn’t truly win. In a recent interview on the “Perspektives With Bank” podcast, 21 Savage recounted telling Drake to “leave that shit alone” as the feud was escalating.

Despite his advice, Drake felt “challenged lyrically” and chose to respond, prompting 21 Savage to tell him, “You finna go into a battle that you can’t win. There’s no way you can win.” He explained that, being at the top, even a win wouldn’t elevate Drake’s position further. “You can’t go Number One-Point-One. So how the f**k could you win, anyway?” he stated.

While many perceive Lamar as the victor, particularly due to the success of “Not Like Us,” 21 Savage maintains he didn’t focus on who won or lost. When asked if Drake took a hit from the feud, 21 Savage responded, “Nah,” pointing to Drake’s continued dominance in streaming numbers. He qualified this by saying Drake might have taken an “internet hit” but even that seemed questionable considering the streaming numbers.

This news comes as 21 Savage releases his new album, “What Happened to the Streets?,” today, December 12th. The album features collaborations with a star-studded lineup including Latto, GloRilla, G Herbo, Lil Baby, and even Drake. “What Happened to the Streets?” marks 21 Savage’s fourth studio album, following the release of “American Dream” last year.
