New Delhi – India today solemnly commemorated the 22nd anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attack on Parliament, honoring the security personnel and employees who lost their lives defending the nation’s democratic institution. A wreath-laying ceremony was held at the Parliament building, attended by top leaders.

For their extraordinary bravery, Jagdish Prasad Yadav, Matbar Singh Negi, and Kamlesh Kumari were posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra, the nation’s highest peacetime gallantry award.
