Birmingham, England – The highly anticipated “Peaky Blinders” film, “The Immortal Man,” is set to welcome another star to its ranks: Barry Keoghan, known for his roles in “Saltburn” and “The Banshees of Inisherin,” has joined the cast in a mysterious new role.

While details about Keoghan’s character are being kept tightly under wraps, a first look shows the actor sporting the signature flatcap, hinting at a leadership position within a new generation of Peaky Blinders operating in 1940s Birmingham. Keoghan revealed to Empire, that he will utter the iconic line, “By order of the Peaky Blinders…”

According to Keoghan, joining the “Peaky Blinders” universe was an easy decision, after near misses with the show in the past due to scheduling conflicts and character descriptions. This time, the opportunity came directly from Cillian Murphy, who personally selected Keoghan for the role.

“I said, ‘Of course, bro. At the drop of a hat,’” recalls Keoghan, expressing his enthusiasm to reunite with Murphy after their collaboration on “Dunkirk.”

“The Immortal Man” promises a fresh “Peaky Blinders” experience. An exclusive cover story in Empire’s February 2026 issue, featuring interviews with Cillian Murphy, Barry Keoghan, Rebecca Ferguson, and creator Steven Knight, will offer further insight.
