Richmond, VA – December 5, 2025 – Richmond residents took full advantage of the unexpected snowfall on Friday, December 5th, 2025, flocking to Forest Hill Park for a day of winter fun. Young and old alike enjoyed sledding down the park’s slopes, building snowmen, and simply reveling in the crisp winter air.

Around 8:30 a.m., the peak of sledding activity saw approximately 45 people gathered at the top of the popular hill. Families like the Austins, with Bailey, age 6, and friends Alex King and Lily Kirwin shared moments in the winter wonderland. Siblings Charley and John Novile were seen constructing a massive snowball, hinting at even bigger ambitions for the day.

The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a winter weather advisory, predicting an additional 2 to 3 inches of snow for the Richmond area on Monday, December 8th, 2025.
