Telangana Aims for Trillion-Dollar Economy by 2034, CM Reddy Unveils Ambitious Growth Plan at Global Summit
Future City, Dec 8, 2025 – Telangana is setting its sights high, aiming to become one of India’s most developed states and a global leader within the next decade. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today unveiled an ambitious roadmap for the state’s future at the Telangana Rising Global Summit-2025, held in Bharat Future City.
Inspired by India’s constitution makers and leaders like Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, CM Reddy outlined a vision to transform Telangana into a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047, coinciding with the centennial of India’s independence.
“We want to create a roadmap for the future of Telangana,” Reddy stated during his keynote address. “By 2047, we want to know what we can achieve.”
Despite representing just 2.9% of India’s population, Telangana currently contributes approximately 5% to the national GDP. The goal is to increase this contribution to 10% by 2047. To achieve this, the state will focus on developing its service, manufacturing, and agriculture sectors, dividing the state into three distinct economic regions, a first for India, based on the CURE (Core Urban Region Economy), PURE (Peri-Urban Region Economy), and RARE (Rural Agriculture Region Economy) models.
Drawing inspiration from the rapid economic growth of China’s Guangdong province, as well as models from Japan, Germany, South Korea, and Singapore, Telangana seeks to attract investment and foster innovation across various sectors.
The summit, attended by business leaders, corporate executives, policymakers, diplomats, and experts, aims to gather insights and feedback to refine the state’s development strategy. CM Reddy extended an invitation to investors and collaborators to join Telangana on its journey towards becoming a leading global economy.
“This vision may seem difficult, but we can achieve it,” CM Reddy affirmed. “We are more confident today than yesterday. Yesterday, it was a dream, a plan. Today, you are all joining us.”
