Boy Killed, Brother Injured in Bus Accident in Nellore District
Nellore, Andhra Pradesh – December 8, 2025 – A tragic accident in Ramudupalem village, Indukuripet mandal, SPSR Nellore district, claimed the life of an 11-year-old boy and left his 14-year-old brother injured on Monday morning. Puli Kiran was killed when an APSRTC bus struck the bicycle he was riding with his brother, Puli Karthik, near Vepachettu Dibba.
According to police reports, the accident occurred around 8:45 AM. The brothers were on their way to fix a flat tire when the bus driver, in a moment of confusion near a culvert, collided with their bicycle. The rear tire of the bus ran over Puli Kiran’s head, resulting in his immediate death.
Puli Karthik sustained injuries and is currently receiving treatment. Both boys were students at Rangampet Government High School, attending Class 6 and 9 respectively.
The Indukuripet police have registered a case against the bus driver under Section 106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for causing death by rash or negligent act. The bus has been seized for inspection by the Motor Vehicles Department, and the driver is currently in police custody.
Following a post-mortem examination, Puli Kiran’s body has been returned to his grieving parents. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
