Arpora, Goa – A massive fire swept through the popular Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub in Arpora, North Goa, early this morning, leaving 25 dead and approximately 50 injured. The blaze, which erupted around 1 AM, quickly engulfed the building, trapping many inside.

Authorities initially suspected a cylinder blast as the cause, but Goa Director General of Police (DGP) has confirmed that the cylinders were intact. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Among the victims are believed to be several tourists and a significant number of the club’s staff. Injured individuals are currently receiving treatment at Goa Medical College.
