KSRTC Distributes ₹4.38 Crore in Compensation to Employees’ Dependents

Bengaluru, December 4, 2025: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) distributed a total of ₹4.38 crore in compensation to the families of employees who passed away due to accidents and medical reasons. The event, held at the KSRTC central office in Bengaluru, was presided over by Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy.

Under the Saarige Suraksha Accident Insurance Scheme, ₹1 crore was given to each of the families of three employees who died due to off-duty accidents, including electrocution. KSRTC has disbursed ₹42 crore to the dependents of 42 employees so far.

In addition, Minister Reddy soft-launched KSRTC’s new commercial management system, “e-Vaneejya”. This in-house software is designed to streamline billing, license fee payments, and GST processing for the 1,847 commercial units operating at bus stations across the state. KSRTC officials stated that e-Vaneejya will replace the existing manual process, leading to improved accuracy and efficiency in commercial operations.
