BHOPAL, INDIA – December 4, 2025 – A Government Railway Police (GRP) head constable in Madhya Pradesh has been suspended after a video showing him assaulting a physically disabled man went viral. The incident occurred on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025, at the Nagda Junction railway station.
The video, recorded by a passenger on a passing train and shared on X (formerly Twitter), depicts the officer, identified as GRP head constable Maan Singh, dragging, pushing, and kicking the disabled man, who was sitting on the platform floor. The man is later seen limping away.
The Railway Protection Force, Western Railway, upon seeing the X post, analyzed CCTV footage and alerted the GRP in Indore. Superintendent of Police, GRP, Indore, Padmavilochan Shukla, identified Singh and issued an immediate suspension order for violating Madhya Pradesh Police Regulation Rules and tarnishing the image of the force.
