TIRUPATTUR, INDIA – December 3, 2025 – A 50-year-old man was arrested in Vishamangalam village near Tirupattur today for practicing medicine without proper qualifications. D. Anbarasu, a Class XII graduate from Jothimangalam village, had been running a clandestine clinic and pharmacy out of his rented house, providing medical treatment to local residents for several years.

Acting on a string of complaints, health officials led by Medical Officer K. Sivakumar from the Government Taluk Hospital in Tirupattur, conducted a surprise inspection of the premises. They discovered and seized medical equipment and subsequently sealed the illegal operation.

“We received multiple reports from concerned citizens regarding the activities at this location,” stated Sivakumar. “It was clear upon inspection that this individual was practicing medicine without the necessary credentials, putting the health of the community at risk.”
