Bengaluru, India – December 3, 2025 – Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru faced widespread disruption today as IndiGo cancelled a significant number of domestic flights for the second consecutive day. A total of 42 flights were grounded on December 3rd, with 22 arrivals and 20 departures affected.
Flights arriving from Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Goa, Kolkata, and Lucknow were cancelled, while departures to Mumbai, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad also faced cancellations.
IndiGo attributed the disruptions to “various reasons,” including technology issues, airport congestion, and operational requirements. The airline released a statement expressing regret for the inconvenience caused to passengers, stating that teams are working to normalise operations as soon as possible.
“We have had several unavoidable flight delays and some cancellations in the past few days due to various reasons, including technology issues, airport congestion, and operational requirements,” the statement read. “Our teams are working diligently to ensure that operations normalise as soon as possible. Furthermore, we are offering alternate flight options or refunds to affected customers, as applicable. We regret the inconvenience caused inconvenience caused to our valued customers due to these disruptions.”
IndiGo is advising passengers to check their flight status before heading to the airport. Yesterday, December 2nd, saw 20 IndiGo flights cancelled.
The disruption is expected to continue to impact travel throughout the day.
