“The Pitt” Bolsters Season 2 Cast with New Recurring Guest Stars

Los Angeles, CA – HBO Max’s acclaimed medical drama, “The Pitt,” is set to return for its sophomore season in January with a fresh influx of talent. The Noah Wyle-led series, which chronicles the intense and often overwhelming realities faced by frontline healthcare professionals at a fictional Pittsburgh trauma center, has added four recurring guest stars: Brittany Allen (“The Boys”), Bonita Friedericy (“A Friend of the Family”), Taylor Handley (“Mayor of Kingstown”), and Jeff Kober (“The Walking Dead”).

Season 2 picks up ten months after the Season 1 finale, unfolding over a Fourth of July weekend. The series, known for its real-time format, continues to depict the hour-by-hour struggles within the emergency department, as doctors and nurses navigate an overwhelming influx of patients and limited resources.

Allen will play Roxie Hamler, an ED patient. Friedericy will portray Cora Wilkins, a visitor to the ED. Handley will play Paul Hamler, husband to Allen’s character, while Kober will appear as Duke, a motorcycle engineer with connections to one of the doctors.

The series regulars of ‘The Pitt’ includes Katherine LaNasa, Shawn Hatosy, Taylor Dearden, Patrick Ball, Isa Briones, Fiona Dourif, Supriya Ganesh, Shabana Azeez and Gerran Howell, alongside Wyle, while Season 2 will also feature Sepideh Moafi as a series regular, and Charles Baker, Irene Choi, Laëtitia Hollard, Lucas Iverson and Lawrence Robinson in recurring roles.

“The Pitt” is created by R. Scott Gemmill and produced by John Wells Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. Gemmill executive produces with Wells, Wyle, and JWP’s Erin Jontow, Simran Baidwan, Joe Sachs and Michael Hissrich.
