UDF Convener Alleges Secret BJP-CPI(M) Pact, Voter Fraud in Kerala
Thrissur, India – December 2, 2025 – Adoor Prakash, convener of the United Democratic Front (UDF), has ignited a political firestorm in Kerala with allegations of a clandestine agreement between the ruling Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Speaking at the Vote Vibe-2025 event organized by the Thrissur Press Club, Prakash claimed the recent Enforcement Directorate (ED) notice served to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and former Finance Minister T.M. Thomas Isaac regarding the masala bond issue is a direct result of this alleged “secret understanding.”
Prakash didn’t stop there. He accused the Left Democratic Front (LDF) of widespread voter fraud, a tactic he claims they’ve been employing for years. “When I contested from Attingal for the first time, the LDF added 1.14 lakh bogus votes,” he alleged, adding similar tactics were used in 2024. He also accused the current government of deliberately stalling the special investigation into the Sabarimala gold theft case, which involves CPI(M) leaders, until after the upcoming local body elections.
Responding to questions about Congress legislator Rahul Mamkootathil’s case, Prakash demanded an expert police investigation, stating it falls under the Chief Minister’s responsibility as head of the Home department.
The allegations have sent ripples through Kerala’s political landscape, with opposition parties demanding immediate clarification from both the CPI(M) and the BJP. The claims are expected to heavily influence the upcoming local body elections.
