World AIDS Day: Baarmer Organizations Unite to Raise Awareness, Honor Lives Lost
Baarmer, Rajasthan – On the eve of World AIDS Day, local organizations in Baarmer came together to launch a poster campaign and reaffirm their commitment to an HIV-free society. Under the theme “Rock the ribbon: ending aids together”, the event took place Sunday evening at the MCH building of the Government Hospital.
The program was organized by the Cairn Foundation and Baarmer Jan Seva Samiti, in collaboration with the ART Center and BNP Plus Sanstha. Former Superintendent Dr. B.L. Mansuria unveiled the awareness poster, emphasizing that while HIV infection is currently incurable, treatment is prevention. He stressed the importance of active community involvement in the fight to eradicate the disease.
Attendees, including representatives from BNP Sansthan, paid tribute to those who have died from AIDS-related illnesses. A candlelight vigil was also held to honor their memory.
Abrar Mohammed, Data Manager at the ART Center, highlighted the collective resolution to create an HIV-free society. He announced a public awareness rally on Monday morning at 8:30 AM, led by nursing students and graced by the presence of Superintendent Dr. Hanumanram Choudhary.
The poster unveiling was attended by key figures including former PMO Dr. B.L. Mansuria, CSR Manager of Cairn Vedanta Vishal Agrawal, Data Manager Abrar Mohammed, Counselor Anant Sachan, ICTC Consultant Manish Sharma, BNP Sansthan President Devidan Charan, Project Coordinator Shyamlal Mali, Jalam Singh Rajpurohit of Jan Seva Samiti, Pharmacist Madan Solanki, and Nursing Officer Naresh Punad, along with other staff members.
The organizations hope these events will further educate the community and encourage proactive measures to prevent the spread of HIV.
