A comprehensive proposal, presented by Paryaya Putthige Mutt seers Sugunendra Tirtha and Sushrendra Tirtha, outlines eight ambitious projects designed to transform the region.

Chief among the requests is the construction of a metro rail corridor connecting Udupi and Mangaluru, addressing the increasing congestion on the 55km coastal stretch. The Udupi district administration has reportedly offered to prepare an initial project report, urging the Prime Minister to include the project in national urban mobility programs.
