JoJo Siwa Back on Her Feet After Emergency Hospital Visit

Minneapolis, MN – November 29, 2024 – Pop star and dancer JoJo Siwa is back to work after a health scare sent her to the hospital just hours before a scheduled performance at the Mall of America on Friday, November 28.

Siwa, 22, shared the news on social media, explaining that she had been experiencing severe stomach pains for several days. After the pain intensified drastically, Siwa found herself unable to breathe and nearly blacked out while trying to ease the pain in a bathtub. She was rushed to the hospital by EMTs.

Doctors discovered that Siwa had a burst ovarian cyst that was bleeding internally, causing the excruciating pain. She received pain medication and an ultrasound.

Despite the ordeal, and just two hours after being released from the hospital, Siwa honored her commitment and performed at the Mall of America. She credited the pain medication for making the performance possible.

“Today, we’re gonna go to work and we’re gonna dance again. I’m afraid how this dance is gonna affect me ’cause I’m gonna be dancing, but it’s only gonna be an hour. We’re going to do it,” she said in her post.

Siwa plans to return to the hospital for a follow-up appointment in one week. She expressed gratitude to the medical staff and thanked fans for their well wishes. While not yet at “100%”, Siwa assured fans that she is “doing all right” and plans to continue with her work commitments.
