Delhi Air Quality Improves to “Poor” After Days of “Very Poor” Conditions
New Delhi – November 30, 2025 – After battling “very poor” air quality for several days, Delhi residents saw a slight improvement today, as the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) moved into the “poor” category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the city recorded an AQI of 268, a noticeable drop from yesterday’s 305.
Data from the CPCB’s Sameer app indicates that while five monitoring stations still report air quality in the “very poor” range, the remaining 33 have improved to “poor” levels. An AQI between 201 and 300 is categorized as “poor.”
The improvement offers a minor respite to Delhi residents, who have been grappling with the health impacts of prolonged exposure to polluted air.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported a minimum temperature of 8.3°C, two degrees below the seasonal average, with 97% humidity. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 25°C, with forecasts of partly cloudy skies.
