Rajasthan Congress Alleges Widespread Voter Deletion Conspiracy Ahead of Elections

Jaipur, November 25, 2025 – The opposition Congress party in Rajasthan has accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of orchestrating a widespread deletion of voter names, particularly in areas with strong Congress support, during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Govind Singh Dotasra stated that Block Level Officers’ (BLO) login identities were being misused at multiple locations to “arbitrarily” remove and add voters. He alleges that as many as 20,000 to 25,000 voters are being deleted from each Assembly constituency under the false pretense of being absent, shifted, or deceased.

Dotasra emphasized that the alleged scheme appears to be targeting voters with Congress leanings and that ASD marking was very low in the areas where the BJP believes it has a strong vote bank. He promised that the party would soon reveal detailed information to expose the alleged conspiracy.

The PCC has scheduled a meeting of its executive and all District Congress Committee (DCC) presidents in Jaipur on November 29 to review the SIR exercise. AICC Rajasthan in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa is expected to assign new monitoring tasks and strategize regarding Election Commission actions.

Dotasra also addressed the ongoing appointments of party district unit chiefs, ensuring adequate representation for young leaders, and those belonging to SC, ST, OBC, and minority communities, in compliance with the Udaipur Nav Sankalp Declaration of 2022. He expects the team for all 50 districts to be completed by the end of December.

The Congress party plans to analyze the final voter lists and compare them with previous versions to present the evidence of these deletions to the public and appropriate authorities.
