Smriti Mandhana Wedding Postponed Following Father’s Heart Attack

Sangli, Maharashtra – November 23, 2025 – The highly anticipated wedding of Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal has been indefinitely postponed after Smriti’s father, Srinivas Mandhana, suffered a heart attack this morning. The incident occurred at the Mandhana Farm House in Samdol, Sangli, where wedding preparations were underway.

Mr. Mandhana was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Sangli and is currently receiving urgent treatment. Smriti Mandhana and her family are at the hospital, focusing on her father’s health. His condition is currently reported as stable and under observation.

“This morning, while having breakfast, Mr. Srinivas Mandhana fell unwell. We initially hoped it was a minor issue, but his condition worsened,” said Tuhin Mishra, Smriti’s business manager. “We decided to err on the side of caution and took him to the hospital. He is now under observation.”

In light of the situation, the wedding ceremony, originally scheduled for today, has been called off. The family has requested privacy and has stated that the wedding will be postponed indefinitely until Mr. Mandhana recovers fully. Decorators at the venue in Samdol have already begun taking down decorations.

“Smriti is very close to her father,” Mishra added. “She has decided that the wedding, which was supposed to happen today, is indefinitely postponed until her father recovers. We are all in shock and want him to recover soon.”

The wedding was set to be a grand affair, with pre-wedding festivities including Haldi, Mehendi ceremonies, and even friendly cricket matches. Several members of the Women’s World Cup-winning Indian cricket team were in attendance.

The couple and their families have expressed their gratitude for the outpouring of support and have requested privacy as they prioritize Mr. Mandhana’s recovery.
