Former OSU Football Coach Mike Gundy Spotted Supporting Hockey After Quiet Exit

STILLWATER, OK – Mike Gundy, the legendary former head football coach of Oklahoma State University, has made a rare public appearance since his dismissal on September 23rd. Gundy, whose deep ties to OSU span decades as a player, assistant, and ultimately, the program’s all-time winningest coach (170-90), was featured in a social media post promoting OSU Cowboys hockey and their upcoming Bedlam matchup.

Since leaving his coaching role, Gundy has largely remained out of the spotlight, focusing on property management in Oklahoma and spending two weeks in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, assisting with flood relief efforts. He has also been observed supporting local football, following both his former team and the Stillwater High School Pioneers, where his son Gage coaches quarterbacks.

Aside from these activities, Gundy has been seen engaging in everyday life in Stillwater, frequenting local shops and restaurants.

The OSU Cowboys hockey team, currently ranked No. 1 in the Western Region, is enjoying a successful season. Recent victories include a 7-5 win against Arkansas, a sweep of Missouri, and a dominant 20-7 performance against Creighton. Their highly anticipated Bedlam game against the University of Oklahoma is scheduled for February 28th at the BOK Center in Tulsa.
