Washington, D.C. – The Washington Wizards suffered a 129-109 defeat at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves last night, but rookie guard Kyshawn George provided a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing performance.
George led the Wizards in scoring with an impressive 23 points on 8-17 shooting, including 4-8 from beyond the arc. He also contributed across the board, pulling down seven rebounds, dishing out seven assists, and adding a steal and a block to his stat line.
George has seen an increased role within the Wizards’ offense due to the absence of Alex Sarr, and he appears to be taking advantage of the opportunity. While the loss stings, Wizards fans can take solace in the continued development of their promising young talent.
