Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth to Reunite for Closure Nearly Five Years After Divorce
LOS ANGELES, CA – In a surprising turn of events, pop superstar Miley Cyrus and actor Liam Hemsworth are reportedly set to meet face-to-face, nearly five years after their highly publicized divorce. A source exclusively revealed to Star magazine that Cyrus, 35, has been feeling remorseful about the end of their relationship and desires to clear the air with her ex-husband, also 35.
“As much as Miley’s tried to just let it all go and move on, she’s really had a tough time,” the source stated, adding that Hemsworth was her “first everything” and she regrets how things ended.
Cyrus, currently dating musician Maxx Morando, is said to be motivated by a desire for closure. “Miley’s the type of person who hates having things unsaid and she swears that’s the reason she wants to see Liam again,” the source explained, emphasizing that Cyrus prefers a personal conversation over text.
Hemsworth, who has avoided contact with Cyrus since their split and is currently engaged to model Gabriella Brooks, has surprisingly agreed to the meeting. According to the source, Hemsworth’s agreement has created some tension with his new fiancée, “Liam hates confrontation, so he’s just avoided Miley since the day things imploded, literally just ghosted her”.
Despite Hemsworth’s initial resistance, Cyrus has been “very persistent” in her attempts to reconnect. “It’s getting harder to ignore [though, so] Liam’s finally agreed to meet up with Miley the next time he’s in Los Angeles, which has made her very happy.”
The timing of the meeting coincides with the approaching fifth anniversary of their divorce in January. It remains to be seen what the outcome of this reunion will be.
