Fri Nov 21 11:30:00 UTC 2025: NYT Connections Puzzle Provides a Fun Friday Challenge, Hints & Answers Released

New York, NY – November 21, 2025 – The New York Times released its daily Connections puzzle (#894) today, offering a mix of straightforward and more challenging categories for word puzzle enthusiasts. Hints and answers for the puzzle have been circulating online for those seeking assistance.

This puzzle featured a particularly enjoyable blue group, evoking memories of animated films, while the purple category proved more elusive, requiring players to identify a less obvious connection within the clue words themselves.

The yellow group connected items worn on lapels, including “awareness ribbon,” “boutonnière,” “lapel pin,” and “lavalier.” The green group focused on popular cocktails: “cosmopolitan,” “greyhound,” “screwdriver,” and “sea breeze.” The blue group spotlighted Pixar protagonists, featuring “clownfish” (Finding Nemo), “grumpy old man” (Up), “racecar” (Cars) and “talking doll” (Toy Story). The trickiest purple group connected words that started with a synonym for “eat”: “bolt cutter”, “chow mein”, “scarf ring” and “wolf eel.”

The Times has also introduced a Connections Bot, similar to the Wordle Bot, to analyze player performance and provide scores. Registered users can now track their progress and statistics, including win rates and perfect scores.
