KOZHIKODE, November 20, 2025 – A 47-year-old woman was apprehended by city police in Pantheerankavu, Kozhikode district, today following an alleged attempt to steal gold ornaments from a local jewellery shop. The suspect, identified as Soudhabi Basheer, a resident of Poovattuparamba, reportedly instigated a quarrel with shop staff around 10:00 AM before allegedly using pepper spray in an attempt to flee with the gold.
