Wed Nov 19 13:36:25 UTC 2025: Pakistani Politician Claims Responsibility for Red Fort Car Bombing; Tensions Escalate with India
New Delhi, India – Tensions between India and Pakistan have soared following a shocking claim by a Pakistani politician that his country was directly involved in the recent car bombing outside Delhi’s Red Fort. Chaudhary Anwarul Haq, former “Prime Minister” of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, stated in the PoK Assembly that the attack, which killed 15 and injured many more, was retaliation for alleged Indian interference in Balochistan. “If you (India) keep bleeding Balochistan, we will hit you from the Red Fort to the forests of Kashmir. By the grace of Allah, we have done it… our brave men have done it.”
While Pakistan has not formally commented on Haq’s statement, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif recently declared that an “all-out war” with India cannot be ruled out amid escalating regional tensions. Islamabad maintains it is on “full alert.”
Indian intelligence agencies have linked the Red Fort car bomb, a Hyundai i20 packed with explosives, to the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), a Pakistan-backed terrorist group. Investigators have identified a 10-member “terror doctor” cell, established by a Jammu and Kashmir cleric with direct ties to JeM, as being behind the plot. The cleric, Maulvi Irfan Ahmed, allegedly radicalized doctors, including the suicide bomber, from a Haryana medical college. Ahmed and a Pakistan-based operative, Umar-bin-Khattab, were the cell’s handlers.
Intelligence sources also revealed that JeM leaders are soliciting donations to fund further attacks in India, potentially including attacks led by women. The group already has a women’s wing, Jamaat ul-Muminat, headed by Masood Azhar’s sister, Sadiya. Dr. Shahina Saeed, a key suspect in the Red Fort bombing, is reportedly a member of this wing and may have financed the attack.
Further intelligence suggests a coordinated effort by Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba to launch a new wave of attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. These groups, both financed and supported by the Pakistani military, have a history of carrying out deadly attacks in India. Investigations continue into the Red Fort bombing, with intelligence agencies focusing on the operational styles, leadership, and indoctrination methods of these groups.
