Did Trump and Epstein Meet During 2017 Thanksgiving? New Emails Spark Speculation, But Evidence Lacking
Washington D.C. – Newly surfaced emails have ignited speculation about a potential meeting between former President Donald Trump and the late Jeffrey Epstein during Thanksgiving 2017. The claims, fueled by Democratic Representative Sean Casten, center on an email exchange from that day where Epstein mentions “Trump” alongside other individuals when asked about his Thanksgiving plans.
Casten posted an image of the emails on X, stating “Trump spent his first Thanksgiving after getting elected President with Jeffrey Epstein. 2017,”
However, the White House has vehemently denied any such encounter. White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson stated “Those emails prove literally nothing.”
Public records and news reports indicate Trump spent Thanksgiving 2017 at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. According to his public schedule, he engaged in activities such as a video conference with military personnel, a visit to a coastguard station, and a round of golf. News outlets documented his presence at Mar-a-Lago, and a CNN report mentioned an “opulent” dinner at the members-only club. While attendee lists for the dinner remain unavailable, the White House told CNN that Trump’s family would be having “a nice Thanksgiving dinner with all the family.”
Furthermore, timelines of Trump and Epstein’s relationship suggest a severing of ties years prior to 2017, with reports dating back to 2007 that Trump had barred Epstein from Mar-a-Lago.
While the email does mention “Trump” in the context of Thanksgiving plans, it remains unclear if Epstein was referring to the former president, or whether he was relaying who was also in the Florida area at the time.
While the emails have sparked renewed interest in the Trump-Epstein relationship, currently there’s no proof that they actually met that day.
