New England Resident Debra Lynn Brammer Dies at 65
NEW ENGLAND, ND – Debra Lynn Brammer, 65, of New England, North Dakota, passed away at her home on Sunday, November 16, 2025.
Born Debra Lynn Gillette on October 19, 1960, in Pratt, Kansas, to Samuel and Violet (Vanderslice) Gillette, she was later fostered and adopted by Todd and Marie Matthews. She was raised and educated in Kansas and married Raymond Brammer in Winfield, Kansas.
Debra was known for her passion for crafting and selling her creations. She had recently relocated to New England to be closer to her family. She was actively involved in her community, enjoying visits with neighbors, attending parades, and supporting those in need. Her hobbies included crafting, thrifting, and garage sales.
Mrs. Brammer is survived by her children, Samuel (Eve) Brummer of Dickinson, Raymond Brummer of Kansas, and Clayton Hall of New England; four grandchildren: Johnny Brummer, Alejandro Brummer, Leslie LaFromboise, and Samuel LaFromboise; siblings Samule “Benny” Gillette, David Lohmann, and Karen (Lee) Hauschild, all of Kansas, and Tiffany Kompare of New England.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Violet Gillette; adoptive parents, Todd and Marie Matthews; son, Johnny Brammer; ex-husband and friend, Raymond Brammer; and brother, Randy Gillette.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Ladbury Funeral Service in Dickinson. Inurnment will follow at Memorial Lawn in Winfield, Kansas.
