Cal State Fullerton Community Mourns Loss of Destiny Morris, 19

Fullerton, CA – The Cal State Fullerton (CSUF) community is in mourning following the death of Destiny Morris, a 19-year-old student involved in several campus organizations. Morris, a member of the Titans’ dance team, Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, and Tusk Magazine, passed away on November 14th. The circumstances surrounding her death have not been released.

“Destiny’s smile and laughter truly lit up every room and inspired all of us to carry the same positivity,” Zeta Tau Alpha wrote in a statement on Instagram.

Beyond her campus involvement, Morris was also a member of the By Your Side Dance Studio. The studio has launched a GoFundMe campaign to support her family and is planning a memorial service.

“It’s heartbreaking and shocking to lose Destiny. My heart goes out to her family, friends and CSUF community,” said Marie Loggia-Kee, Tusk Magazine Adviser. The upcoming edition of Tusk Magazine will feature Morris’s work as both a writer and model.

Bella Escabedo, a fellow dance team member, described Morris as having “such a sweet and pure soul.”

CSUF is offering support services to students and staff. Counseling and Psychological Services are available for students, and the MyLifeMatters Care Center is available for employees.
