The workers were engaged in welding on the pole when it unexpectedly began to slant towards the tracks. Fortunately, the driver of the Tata Nagar express noticed the obstruction and brought the train to a halt, averting a possible collision.
“The workers received an electric shock while they were welding the pole and sustained injuries,” railway sources confirmed.
Police sources stated that the train was delayed for approximately 25 minutes while the pole was safely repositioned. The Tata Nagar express was then permitted to continue its journey. An investigation into the cause of the incident is reportedly underway.
