Popular Odia Singer Humane Sagar Passes Away at 36

Bhubaneswar, November 18, 2025 – Renowned Odia singer Humane Sagar passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, at the age of 36, while undergoing treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bhubaneswar.

Sagar was admitted to the hospital on Friday, November 14, suffering from bilateral pneumonia, acute on chronic liver failure (ACLF), multi-organ dysfunction syndrome, and other complications. Despite aggressive and advanced care, he succumbed to his illness at 9:08 PM, according to an AIIMS statement.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed his deep sorrow at Sagar’s untimely demise, calling it an “irreparable loss to Odia music and cinema.” Opposition Leader Naveen Patnaik also conveyed his condolences, noting that Sagar’s “soulful music has touched the hearts of countless listeners.”

Born in Titlagarh, Bolangir district, Humane Sagar was a prominent figure in the Odia music industry, known for his emotional delivery and distinctive singing style. He contributed his voice to over 100 Odia songs.

The passing of Humane Sagar marks a significant loss to the Odia music community, and he will be remembered for his contributions to the industry. Condolences continue to pour in from fans and fellow artists alike.
