Sun Nov 16 04:10:00 UTC 2025: Lottery Fever Grips the Nation: Powerball Climbs to $546 Million

[City, State] – Lottery fever is sweeping across the nation as the Powerball jackpot surges to an estimated $546 million for Saturday night’s drawing. This comes on the heels of a massive $980 million Mega Millions winner in Georgia on Friday, and after no ticket matched all numbers in Wednesday’s drawing, which increased the Powerball jackpot.

The current Powerball jackpot has been growing since September 8, after a $1.787 billion jackpot was won by tickets sold in Fredericksburg, Texas, and St. Louis, Missouri. While the odds of winning the jackpot remain a daunting 1 in 292.2 million, the allure of a life-changing sum of money is driving ticket sales.

Saturday’s winning numbers were 6-7-12-47-53 and the Powerball was 21. Power Play was 4x. It remains to be seen if anyone will claim the grand prize, or if the jackpot will roll over once again.

Meanwhile, Wednesday’s winning numbers were 29-39-43-51-65 and the Powerball was 23. Power Play was 2x. Though those numbers produced another rollover, it wasn’t all bad news: There were two big winners in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing. Tickets purchased in New Jersey and Virginia matched 5 for $1 million prizes.

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 11 p.m. ET. Tickets cost $2 each.

Important Reminder for Florida Players:

If you’re a Florida Lottery player, remember that prize claims must be made within 180 days of the drawing. For the single-payment cash option, winners have 60 days from the draw date to make their claim. Also, Florida law mandates that the lottery disclose a winner’s name, city of residence, game won, date won, and amount won to any third party who requests the information. However, winners claiming prizes of $250,000 or greater will be temporarily exempt from public disclosure for 90 days from the date the prize is claimed, unless otherwise waived by the winner.
