This announcement came from Dakshina Kannada district in-charge Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao during the Karnataka Development Programme Review Committee meeting held on Saturday, November 15th. Concerns were raised by MLAs and MLCs regarding the high cost of laterite stones, despite recent government reductions in royalty fees.

He also mandated the completion of road repairs damaged by the Jalasiri drinking water project by December and urged police cooperation in repairing pothole-ridden roads.
