Sun Nov 16 00:20:00 UTC 2025: ## McConaughey and Caine Lend Voices to AI in Groundbreaking Deal
New York, NY – Oscar-winning actors Matthew McConaughey and Michael Caine are venturing into the world of artificial intelligence, partnering with AI audio company ElevenLabs to create AI-generated versions of their voices. The move signals a potential shift in Hollywood’s relationship with AI, aiming to address ethical concerns surrounding voice replication.
McConaughey, who has invested in and collaborated with ElevenLabs since 2022, will leverage the technology to translate his newsletter, “Lyrics of Livin’,” into a Spanish-language audio version using his digitally recreated voice. “I was impressed by ElevenLabs and want this partnership to help me reach and connect with even more people,” McConaughey stated.
Caine’s distinctive voice will be featured in ElevenLabs’ newly launched Iconic Voices Marketplace, allowing brands to license and use officially sanctioned celebrity voices for AI-generated content. The Marketplace also includes voices of deceased icons like John Wayne and Judy Garland, as well as living legends such as Liza Minnelli and Art Garfunkel, and historical figures like Amelia Earhart and Maya Angelou.
“For years, I’ve lent my voice to stories that moved people,” Caine said. “Now, I’m helping others find theirs. With ElevenLabs, we can preserve and share voices – not just mine, but anyone’s.” Both actors emphasize that the partnership aims to amplify voices, not replace them, using AI to celebrate and preserve human expression.
The deal follows a growing trend of celebrity involvement with AI, with many prominent figures like Judi Dench, John Cena, and Kristen Bell partnering with Meta for voice replication projects. Others, like Ashton Kutcher and Leonardo DiCaprio, have invested in AI companies. ElevenLabs, recently valued at approximately $6.6 billion, hopes that the Iconic Voices Marketplace will pave the way for a more ethical and collaborative future between Hollywood and the AI industry.
