Uttar Pradesh CM Adityanath Pledges Support and Development for Tribal Communities on Tribal Pride Day

Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh – November 16, 2025 – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reaffirmed his government’s commitment to the security, dignity, and self-reliance of tribal communities during a Tribal Pride Day event held in Sonbhadra on Saturday, November 15, 2025. He emphasized the crucial role of tribal communities as partners in the state’s and nation’s progress, highlighting various government schemes aimed at their empowerment.

Speaking at the event, Adityanath credited the “double-engine government” led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for driving development and good governance, integrating tribal communities into the mainstream. He invoked the spirit of Birsa Munda’s call for “Nation First” and announced ₹548 crore worth of development projects focused on enhancing connectivity and infrastructure in Sonbhadra, recognizing the district as Uttar Pradesh’s energy capital and a region rich in natural and historical heritage.

The Chief Minister also detailed steps his government has taken to preserve tribal pride, including the establishment of tribal museums and hostels, like the one in Imlia Koder, Balrampur, and the planned Tribal Pride Museum in Sonbhadra, which will showcase tribal art, traditions, and lifestyle. Adityanath emphasized the historic significance of the year, marking 150 years since the birth of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Bhagwan Birsa Munda.
