Hollywood Brimming with Sequels: ‘Black Panther 3’ and ‘Now You See Me 4’ Confirmed by Directors

HOLLYWOOD, CA – October 26, 2023 – Fans of superhero action and illusionist heists rejoice! Rumors have been put to rest as directors Ryan Coogler and Ruben Fleischer have officially confirmed the development of “Black Panther 3” and “Now You See Me 4,” respectively.

Ryan Coogler, the acclaimed director behind the “Black Panther” franchise, revealed at a Deadline Contenders event that the third installment of the Wakandan saga will be his next cinematic endeavor. “We’re working on it hard,” Coogler stated, acknowledging Marvel’s strict secrecy policies and declining to elaborate further. However, he noted his immediate next project would be a reboot of “The X-Files” for television.

Meanwhile, Ruben Fleischer, director of the recently released “Now You See Me 3,” shared exciting news about the future of the illusionist team. In an interview with Variety, Fleischer confirmed that “Now You See Me 4” is already in the works. “When we were done shooting [the third one], they started to talk about it [a fourth],” Fleischer explained, adding that studio executives had expressed confidence in the dailies. “We’re working on the script now, and hopefully that’ll be ready so we can make it next year.” This announcement comes as “Now You See Me 3” exceeds box office expectations, projected to earn between $21-24 million in its opening weekend.
