Bengaluru, November 16, 2025 – Karnataka Minister and Congress leader Satish Jarkiholi has publicly called on the party’s high command to address the “confusion” surrounding party leadership within the state. Speaking to reporters Sunday, Jarkiholi acknowledged ongoing discussions regarding the potential appointment of a new Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president, stating that the final decision rests with the party’s central leadership.

Jarkiholi also addressed speculation about his recent trip to Delhi, clarifying that the visit was to accompany KPCC general secretary Sunil Hanumannavar, recently appointed vice-president of NWKRTC.

“The party is monitoring all developments within the Karnataka Congress,” he said. “They are observing the confusion about leadership in the State. I think it would be good if the top brass clarified this confusion.”

In addition, Jarkiholi reiterated that cabinet expansion is a matter for the high command to decide. He also confirmed that Forest Minister Ishwar Khandre has launched an investigation into the recent deaths of deer at the Kittur Rani Chennamma Zoo.

Finally, Jarkiholi voiced his disappointment with the recent Bihar election results, stating there are still doubts about the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and that such doubts will remain if there is no transparency. He clarified this would not affect Karnataka.
