Vaibhav Suryavanshi Smashes Record-Breaking Century as India-A Dominates UAE in Rising Stars Asia Cup Opener

Doha, Qatar – In a stunning display of power-hitting, Vaibhav Suryavanshi blasted a 32-ball century, leading India-A to a commanding victory over the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in their opening match of the ACC Men’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025. The Group B encounter, held at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium on Friday, saw India-A elect to bat first after winning the toss, a decision that was immediately justified by Suryavanshi’s explosive innings.

The 14-year-old opener tore into the UAE bowling attack from the outset, reaching his century with a flurry of boundaries and towering sixes. Suryavanshi eventually fell for a blistering 144 off just 42 balls, an innings studded with 11 fours and 15 sixes. His knock propelled India-A to a formidable total of 297/4 in their 20 overs.

Suryavanshi’s innings is now the joint-third fastest T20 century by an Indian batsman. He shares the third position with Rishabh Pant.

Naman Dhir provided valuable support with a quickfire 34 off 22 balls, contributing to a 163-run partnership for the second wicket.
