Chennai, November 9, 2025 – Pulianthope police have arrested an 18-year-old man for allegedly robbing a food delivery worker in the early hours of November 7th.

M. Murugan, 30, a resident of Thiruvottiyur and an employee of a private food delivery company, was targeted near the Bhavani Amman Temple in Kannigapuram while returning from a delivery. According to police reports, an individual stopped Murugan’s two-wheeler and demanded money. When Murugan refused, the assailant snatched ₹1,200 from his person before fleeing the scene.

Following Murugan’s complaint, the Pulianthope police launched an investigation and apprehended the suspect, identified as Prakash, 18, a resident of New T.V.K. Nagar, Kannigapuram. Police recovered ₹1,000 from Prakash at the time of his arrest. The case is currently ongoing.
