MYSURU, Karnataka – November 8, 2025 – Ahead of Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan’s visit to the Cheluvanarayana Swamy Temple in Melkote, Mandya district, the local administration has implemented a strict ban on the use of drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles within a 15-kilometer radius of his travel locations. The order, issued by Deputy Commissioner Kumar, cites security concerns raised by the Director of State Intelligence, highlighting the potential risks to air traffic safety in densely populated areas.

Security measures have been significantly increased in Melkote for the Vice-President’s visit. In addition to local police, personnel from the Indian Army and the Vice-President’s special security teams will be on duty. Bomb disposal squads, rapid action teams, and emergency services will also be deployed to ensure the safety of the visit.
