Rutgers Faces Maryland with Key Players Questionable Amidst Injury Woes

PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Rutgers Scarlet Knights are set to clash with the Maryland Terrapins today at 2:30 pm EST in a crucial Big Ten matchup. This marks the seventh conference game of the season for Rutgers.

Ahead of kickoff, Rutgers has released its mandatory pre-game injury report, revealing several key players with uncertain statuses. The biggest question mark surrounds starting right tackle Taj White, who missed last week’s game against Illinois. White is listed as “questionable” and his return to the starting lineup could provide a significant boost to the Rutgers offensive line.

However, the Scarlet Knights are already battling a significant injury bug, with 12 players ruled out for the season, impacting key positions across the roster.

Injury Report:

  • Questionable: TE Kenny Fletcher, OT Taj White, DE Jordan Walker
  • Out for Season: WR Jourdin Houston, CB Al-Shadee Salaam, TE Ben Rothaar, WR Vernon Allen, WR Dane Pardridge, DT Dariold DeNgohe, S Davoun Fuse, S Chris Joines, RB Terrell Mitchell, OL Jayden Elijah, WR Michael Thomas III, OL Ryder Langsdale, DT Doug Blue-Eli, WR Famah Toure, CB Steven Murray, DB Noah Shaw, S DK Gilley, OL Dantae Chin, LB Moses Walker, RB CJ Campbell, OL Nick Oliveira, DL Braxton Kyle

The Big Ten Conference instituted a rule in 2023 requiring teams to release injury reports two hours prior to kickoff.
